What is Schengen Visa?
A Schengen visa is an official document mandatory for most non-Europeans to travel to all the countries which are part of the Schengen area. Once the Schengen Visa is granted, the visa allows the traveller to cross the borders of the other member-states without going through identity or visa checks at the border. Most common Schengen Visa is the short-stay visa which allows to travel/stay for up to 30 days over a 3 months period or for up to 90 days over a 6 month period.


What is Schengen area?
The Schengen Area, or Schengen Countries Zone is a group of 27 European nations that have abolished border controls between each other. These include France, Germany, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, Poland, and Scandinavian nations, but not the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. The list of 27 countries members of the Schengen Visa zone are as follows:

Which type of insurance is required for the Schengen Visa Application?
To obtain a Schengen Visa, travel and medical insurance must meet several minimum requirements. It must cover the complete travel duration within the whole Schengen Area even though the countries you have no plan to visit, and covers accidents, illnesses, and emergency treatments, as well as repatriation in case of death, for a minimum of €30,000. All conditions must be stated either on insurance document or on separate confirmation letter.


How long is the Visa Processing time:
Exact Visa Processing Time cannot be guaranteed, but normally it takes about 3 to 6 weeks depending on the circumstances.
Please note:
- The Embassies/Consulates do not guarantee the issuance of a Visa. There is no legal entitlement to a visa between the Applicants and Embassies/Consulates.
- Holders of Schengen visas are still subject to immigration controls and are not guaranteed entry into any of the Schengen Area countries.
- It is strongly advised to carry all the documents during the entire duration of the trip.
